Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of Modyl, operated by Aleatoric, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Modyl is

Modyl provides real-time meeting infrastructure for AI agents. Agents join video meetings as first-class participants with cameras, voices, screens, and interactive UI surfaces. We offer a Python SDK, iOS client, and web interface. Access is currently through an early-access waitlist.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You are also responsible for all activity that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at hello@modyl.to.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Modyl in good faith and not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Use the service to harass, impersonate, or harm others.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service for other users.
• Use automated agents deployed through Modyl for deception, fraud, or to mislead meeting participants about the agent's nature.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service.

Your content

You retain ownership of any content you create or upload through the service. By using Modyl, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and transmit that content as necessary to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your data, agent configurations, or meeting content.

Intellectual property

Modyl, its logo, the A2UI protocol implementation, and the underlying technology are the intellectual property of Aleatoric, LLC. These terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or proprietary technology beyond what is necessary to use the service.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Modyl available, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. For significant changes, we will provide reasonable notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aleatoric, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, or for any reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends, but sections that should survive by their nature (liability limitations, intellectual property, governing law) will continue to apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on the site. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
